About Jonathan

As an Investment Counsellor, Jonathan Yang provides portfolio management services and his experience to our high net worth clients in the CI Assante Private Client program. In this role, in consultation with our team's knowledge of our clients' circumstances, he determines an appropriate asset allocation to best meet their objectives. He also provides ongoing review of client portfolios, and works closely with our Wealth Planning team to ensure that our clients' investment plans continue to meet their needs.

Jonathan brings over 20 years of capital markets and financial services experience to his role, spanning equities, derivatives, and private investments. Prior to joining our team, he served as Director of Investments and Asset Management at a family office, where he managed a broad spectrum of public and private market investments. Before that, he was an Equity Research Analyst with Goldman Sachs Hudson Street Services in Toronto, covering various sectors globally, and earlier in his career he worked as a derivatives trader at a New York Mercantile Exchange firm.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics from Western University in London, Ontario, and is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.
